Frequently Asked Questions

Solar energy is a clean and reliable source of electricity. A Solar PV system does not contain any moving parts, which makes it possible for the system to run for over 25 years with minimum maintenance expenses. Solar Power showcases ones commitment to Mother Nature by choosing a sustainable and greener source of electricity. Adopting On-Grid Solar can reduce daily consumption of electricity from the discom while fulfilling your demand; any unused or excess units will be fed back into the grid via bi-directional meter resulting in zero unit billing.

Solar PV systems have an average payback period of 4-5 years, that means the initial cost of installing a solar system will be recovered in that period. This makes the electricity generated for the next 21+ years free of cost.

Solar panels can produce power even on cloudy days. Solar PV systems do not require bright sun light to produce electricity because they work on the concept of solar irradiance. The power generation would be lower than a bright and sunny day but generation would not stop.

All you need to do is keep the panels clean. Regular cleaning is all that is required to maintain optimal generation.

It depends on the requirement of the end user. The average requirement is 10 sq.m (or 100 sq.ft) per kW. A 5kW plant which is required for an average 3 bedroom bungalow would require 50 sq.m (or 500 sq. ft) shadow-free roof area.

In case you have a business or commercial application and require in access of 1 Mw, then you can opt for open access solar solutions which will not require any installation on your rooftop. The entire plant will be setup on a suitable land parcel within the same state.
